The Anden AS35 is a high electrode-type humidifier that adds steam to the ductwork with on the HVAC system to spread humidity throughout the grow space. The steam humidifier can hold anywhere from 11.5 to 34.6 gallons of water per day. When used with cold water, it turns the two electrodes in the steam cylinder into steam. The water boils and turns into steam when current flows between the electrodes. Through the HVAC ducts, steam is brought into the grow/drying room. The 5558 control will turn on the steam humidifier until the setpoint is hit.
The Anden AS35 has a lot of high-tech safety and working features, such as:
- Internal Control Board: The internal control board is in charge of the humidifier's whole operation. Fills and drains to keep the water level and electricity draw at the right levels, and it lets you know when service is needed.
- Back Flow Protection: An air gap in the fill cap keeps pressure from building up.
- Water Level Sensor: This part controls how much water is in the steam tank so it doesn't get too full.
- Automatic Drain and Fill Cycle: The unit flushes and fills itself every so often to keep the conductivity at the right level.
- Drain Water Tempering: The unit uses cold water from the intake to cool the water in the canister, keeping the temperature of the drain water below 140°F to protect the PVC pipes and pumps.
- End-of-Season Drain: If you don't use the humidifier for 72 hours, it will drain the water from the tank. The unit will stay ready until the next call for humidification.
- Operating Time Monitor: Keeps track of how long the humidifier has been running so that it can run periodic drain and fill processes, an end-of-season drain function, and a life monitor for the canister.
- The power switch and illuminated LEDs that show fill, drain, steam operations, and diagnostics are on a simple display screen.
- Maintenance is easy; you don't have to clean or scrub. Just take out the bottle that came with the car and put in the new one.
